SONAIRGRAPH: SONification for Accessible and Inclusive Representation of GRAPHs in Education
SONAIRGRAPH is an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Union. The aim of the project is to strengthen cooperation between higher education institutions and organizations involved in the development and promotion of assistive technologies for the full inclusion of students with visual impairments in higher education. The project investigates the potential of sonification for the acoustic representation of function graphs in mathematics lessons with visually impaired students by testing and applying it with the target group.
The starting point for the project is the experimental digital application AudioFunctions.web, which was developed by the “S.Polin” laboratory. As part of the project, the application is to be further developed into Audiofunctions+. The application and its usability will be tested in four different countries, Italy, Germany, Spain, and Romania, with both students at schools and universities.
