Dear students and young professionals,

Job interviews can be quite stressful, can't they? Especially when you have to talk about your strengths, weaknesses, and why you want to work for this particular company. Everyone is familiar with the question, “Tell me a little bit about yourself,” and often you don't really know how to answer it. If you also have a visual impairment, you may feel even more uncertain about how best to address the topic.

That's why we have something special for you! ACCESS@KIT is organizing a job interview training course, but not just any course—one specifically for people with visual impairments.
In this two-and-a-half-day workshop, you will learn how to prepare for a job interview in the best possible way. Personal examples and practical scenarios will help you make your statements credible and comprehensible. The focus is on your own resources—your skills, interests, and preferences—and how they fit the job requirements.

Together with experienced LWP trainer Marc Buddensieg, we have adapted the Life/Work Planning (LWP) concept and tailored it to the needs of people with visual impairments. Here you will find practical tips and proven solutions so that after the seminar you can use these methods independently to prepare yourself effectively and authentically for job interviews.

The seminar is offered by Mr. Buddensieg in cooperation with ACCESS@KIT at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. It will take place in Karlsruhe, in the seminar rooms of InformatiKOM II. Single rooms have been reserved in the KIT guest lecturer house, and lunch and dinner will be provided on campus.

Two weeks before the seminar, you will receive an individually tailored preparatory package to ensure that the seminar is optimally tailored to your needs.
Two weeks later, a follow-up seminar will be offered online to review the materials. This is your chance to stay on the ball, prepare the materials, and get started!
